Files never leave your device

Edit PDFs without uploading them

Most online PDF sites copy your document to their servers, process it there and ask you to trust that it is deleted afterwards. These tools work differently. When you open one, your browser downloads the code once, and from then on your PDF is read, changed and saved entirely on your own computer or phone. Contracts, bank statements, medical letters and ID scans never leave your device, and there is no file size queue or daily limit.

What you can do

Combine several documents into one with Merge PDF, or pull out the pages you need withSplit PDF. Use Organize PDF to rotate sideways scans, reorder pages or delete blank ones. Compress PDF shrinks scans and photo-heavy files for email, and if a portal gives you a hard limit, go straight to compress a PDF to 1 MB orto 500 KB. To turn pages into pictures, use PDF to JPGor PDF to PNG; to go the other way, JPG to PDF builds a document from photos or screenshots. Finally, add page numbers or a watermark andsign a PDF with a drawn, typed or uploaded signature.

How to check that nothing is uploaded

Open your browser's developer tools (F12, or Cmd+Option+I on a Mac), switch to the Network tab and process a file. You will see requests for this site's own scripts and nothing that carries your document. You can even switch the Network tab to Offline after the page has loaded: the tools keep working, because the processing never needed a connection in the first place.
