Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 October 2026
This policy explains what happens to your files and your data when you use PixSplit ("we", "the site"). The site is operated bySSN Management. You can contact us at hello@pixsplit.app.
Your files are never uploaded
All PDF and image tools run inside your web browser. When you add a file, your browser reads it from your device and our code, which was downloaded with the page, processes it locally using JavaScript and WebAssembly. The results are created in your device's memory and saved through your browser's normal download. No file, and no part of a file's contents, is sent to our servers or to any third party. We do not have a server that could receive files.
You can verify this yourself:
- Open your browser's developer tools (F12, or Cmd+Option+I on a Mac) and choose the Network tab.
- Tick "Preserve log" and clear the list, then process a file.
- You will see only requests for this site's own static files. None of them contains your file.
- Or switch the Network tab to "Offline" (or disconnect from the internet) after the page has loaded. The tools keep working.
What we collect
- No accounts. We do not ask for your name, email or any registration.
- No analytics on your files. We do not track what you convert, merge or sign, and we do not record file names, sizes or contents.
- Hosting logs. Like every website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical request data such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use this to identify individual visitors.
- Information stored on your device. We save your colour theme and your advertising choice in your browser's local storage, and a copy of the site's own files in your browser's cache so the tools work offline. These stay on your device and contain no file data.
Advertising and cookies
The site is funded by advertising from Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show and measure ads, and, if you allow it, to personalise them. Advertising is only loaded after you accept it in the consent banner. If you choose "No ads", no advertising code is loaded and no advertising cookies are set. All the tools work the same either way.
- Ads are shown next to and below the tools, never between your file and the download button.
- Google may collect your IP address, browser information and the pages you visit, as described in how Google uses data when you use our partners' sites.
- You can manage personalised advertising at Google Ad Settings, or opt out through aboutads.info (US) and youronlinechoices.com (EU).
- You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer, or by clearing this site's data in your browser.
Ads and files are separate: advertising scripts run in their own frames provided by Google and have no access to the contents of the files you open in our tools.
Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we only use cookies for advertising with your consent, which you may withdraw at any time. Our legal basis for hosting logs is our legitimate interest in running a secure website. You have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold, to object to processing and to complain to your data protection authority. Because we hold almost no personal data, most requests can be answered quickly: write to us.
Children
The site is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes to this policy
